Stephen-Michael’s favorite teacher was Mr. Miller. His rigorous English and Civics lessons made Stephen-Michael into the ambitious and deep thinker that he is today. Additionally, Stephen-Michael has a deep appreciation for public education through watching children’s programming on PBS growing up, and through his participation in the publicly funded Howard University Upward Bound College Prep program in high school.
As our Communications Officer, Stephen-Michael contributes to our digital presence by uniquely telling the stories of what we do.
Stephen-Michael is a proud graduate of Morgan State University with a degree in Computer Science. He brings a wide range of experience to the Foundation such as graphic & web design, photography, and social media marketing. His writing has been featured in national publications SB Nation, HBCU Gameday, and Teen Vogue. Additionally, his freelance work has been impactful in partnerships within the Maryland General Assembly, local businesses, and various ministries within the Mid-Atlantic region.
In his off time, Stephen-Michael enjoys grilling, watching documentaries, and is an avid sports fan.
