Shianne remembers Mr. Damboise, her high school Physics and Astronomy teacher, as one of the most impactful educators in her academic career. He taught her that embracing the strange, unusual parts of life can make everything more fun and interesting. He created an environment where all students felt that they could proudly be themselves, which fostered creativity and excitement in the classroom.
As Operations Associate, Shianne works across teams to assist with daily operations and manage administrative needs.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Shianne attended the University of Maryland where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Science with an Arts Scholar citation. With previous work experience in both education and non-profits, the Foundation felt like a perfect fit for her.
Outside of work, Shianne enjoys experimenting with new recipes, making art and jewelry, and spending time with her cats.
