Hailing from the historically rich city of Clarksdale, Mississippi, Jasmine Cleark, fondly known as Jazz, now calls Jackson, Mississippi, her home. Armed with a Master’s Degree in Sociology, with a specialized focus on Community Development, and many other educational achievements, Jazz brings a wealth of experience and passion to our team.
With a multifaceted background as a school, community, and union leader and staffer, alongside her role as a dedicated classroom educator, Jazz embodies a lifelong commitment to learning and advocacy. Her journey from humble beginnings was shaped by the unwavering support and example of her community, instilling in her a deep-seated belief in the power of love, access to opportunities, and servant leadership.
Jazz’s passions are as diverse as her experiences. An avid reader and advocate for student growth and achievement, she channels her energy into advancing underprivileged students and the communities that support them. Fueled by her love for coffee and relentless optimism, Jazz approaches every challenge with determination and resilience—except when it comes to outdoor events with subpar parking arrangements, a pet peeve she simply can’t overlook!
At the core of her life’s work is a profound commitment to connecting and empowering students, parents, and educators with the knowledge and resources they need to shape their educational systems and communities into the vibrant, thriving, inclusive spaces they envision.
