Betsy has been positively influenced by several educators during her academic journey, with her advisor Professor Edmunds standing out as particularly influential. He helped create a supportive community for Betsy and her peers based on respect, the freedom to explore their interests or passions, and enabling students to define their learning paths.
As the Development Coordinator, Betsy provides administrative and programmatic support for the Foundation’s development operations.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Betsy earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia, where she studied Global Development and Public Policy and Leadership. Additionally, Betsy gained experience in nonprofit support and fundraising, having previously served as a manager and lead fundraiser within University Advancement.
Outside of work, Betsy loves music and dance, enjoys reading in her free time, and appreciates any opportunity to travel and explore the world.
