Ni Hao! Greetings from the 2012 class of NEA Foundation-Pearson Foundation Global Learning Fellows in Beijing.
In 2010, a group of education leaders came together with a common vision: to create greater global exposure for public school educators. The result of those conversations was the creation of the NEA Foundation-Pearson Foundation Global Learning Fellows program, which focuses on embracing global competency to better prepare students for success in an increasingly interconnected world.
The 2012 class was selected from teachers who received the 2012 Award for Teaching Excellence from the NEA Foundation. Together these teachers have embarked on a 10-day professional development tour with EF Educational Tours to learn more about China’s education system and develop ways to integrate global competency skills into their classroom instruction.
During the trip, we will be gathering reflections and observations from this outstanding group of educators and blogging from the field. Stay tuned or subscribe to the blog to get the latest updates from China.
