William Smith will use this grant to travel to, attend, and present at the 2023 Southwest Conference on Language Teaching annual conference in Salt Lake City, UT. He has submitted a proposal to present on the use of artificial intelligence in a world language classroom to assist and engage learners. In addition to sharing this information, he seeks to increase his knowledge of language instruction as well as to gain new ideas, materials, and connections to enrich his students’ learning. He also plans to take what he learns back to his school and state language teacher association.
