Robert L. Lyda will participate in the Kodály Institute at the University of Montevallo to learn how to analyze, categorize, and incorporate new folk materials into his curriculum. He will also identify and purchase new folk materials that he can embed into his music curriculum at Cary Woods Elementary School during the 2022-2023 school year. This project will allow students to have access to updated and culturally relevant folks music and ensure that the music curriculum meets state and national standards for music education.
