Paula Tonn will present case studies as a part of a panel on “Teaching in the Shadow of Divisive Concepts Legislation” at this year’s American Educational Research Association Annual Meeting. She and other panelists will share with researchers in higher education what their experiences have been teaching in states where divisive concepts in education legislation has passed (Iowa) and states where it has been introduced, and though likely to be defeated, still affects the decision-making of school boards, administrators and teachers (Wisconsin). In addition to being a panelists, Paula and her fellow educators will experience the best of our nation’s academic research surrounding equity in education by attending the conference.
