The “Flapjack Give-Back” Project is one whereby in celebration of Autism and Down Syndrome Months and as part of their life skills curriculum, students with autism and Down syndrome will provide breakfast for educators and essential workers in their community, including firefighters, postal workers and animal hospital employees. This project will help students develop their independent living skills and build connections within their community. The hope is that this project will strengthen partnerships between the school and community institutions and will become an annual event, bringing joy to students and community partners.
