This summer, Laura Myers plans to take part in two trainings: LiPS by Lindamood and the K-3 Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham training. Through the LiPS training, Laura will gain skills in building phonetic awareness in readers. Through the Orton-Gillingham training, she will develop her professional knowledge in the areas of decoding and orthography. Both trainings come with teacher manuals and resources to immediately begin implementing the programs in the classroom. She will also plan to share what she learns with her colleagues at their weekly PLC meetings.
