This project will provide students the opportunity to launch a self-sustaining small business that is focused on custom printed banners and signs. This student-run business will sell a line of products such as graduation banners, sports team banners, birthday/celebration signs, etc. to the community. The business will be housed in the media center’s makerspace and facilitated by students in the Design Techniques, Marketing, Accounting and Entrepreneurship classes. These elective classes are open to students of all skill levels, including students with special needs. The grant funds will be used to purchase a 44′ wide Epson Education Pro Color Poster Maker, software, ink, and paper/banner materials to help start the business. This project will provide real-world opportunities to build a range of student skills.
