To promote literacy, positive reading opportunities, and provide opportunities to celebrate diverse reading choices, Franklin School will purchase a book vending machine. It is essential to allow students to choose their own books, allowing them to take ownership of their own learning. Students will feel valued and increase their ability to self-monitor and make positive choices that will result in greater autonomy and motivation for reading. Creating opportunities for students to grow as lifelong readers is the cornerstone of the philosophy at Franklin School and this project will support that.
