Johari Mitchell

As an education coordinator in Columbus City Schools, Johari Mitchell will build her capacity as a licensed support professional in the CliftonStrengths framework, a strengths-based approach to maximizing potential. This framework is being used in her district and aligns with the state’s standards for professional development. Last year only 39% of district teachers reported a favorable perception on the amount and quality of feedback and coaching they received. By deepening her knowledge and skills of strengths-based coaching, Johari will support her district in providing strengths-based feedback to educators and helping educators use a strengths-based approach with students to create safe and inviting learning spaces that prioritize a whole-child focus.
