Ikechukwu Onyema

Ikechukwu Onyema will travel to Sturgeon Bay, WI, to attend “A Brief Introduction to Modeling Method Instruction in Chemistry” at Sevastopol High School. This method is intended to correct many weaknesses of the lecture-demonstration method of instruction typically seen in STEM classrooms, allowing for educators to reach different types of student learners. The two-day workshop will provide strategies that educators can bring back to their classrooms. Ikechukwu also intends to conduct a workshop at his school to share with his colleagues what he has learned in hopes they will also introduce the Modeling Method in their classrooms.
