This project will expand the skills of 17-21 district speech-language pathologists (SLPs) and special education (SPED) teachers when instructing atypical language learners who are “stuck” (exhibiting repetition of spoken words). The course is offered by Alexandria Zachos, MS, CCC-SLP/L of meaningfulspeech.com. By learning to better support students as they learn to communicate, educators will be able to help with earlier diagnoses as well as support families and educators in reducing negative behaviors related to neurodivergence that affects education, peer interaction and overall success in an academic setting.
