Flora Bogan

This project will enable students in the Law & Public Safety class at Quitman County Career & Technical Center in Marks, MS, to participate in career exploration opportunities related to this class. Students in this predominately Black rural community often do not have the opportunity to travel to nearby areas with more employment opportunities. As part of this project, students will travel to the MS Fire Academy to learn about firefighting, to the MS Crime Lab to learn about forensic science, and to travel to the MS Department of Corrections to learn about jobs in the correctional field.
