Elizabeth Chaille and her special education colleagues lead self-contained classrooms for students with severe cognitive disabilities and find that the key to their students’ mastering state standards is the opportunity for alternate ways of learning basic science concepts. Through this project, she will purchase items, many of them reusable in future years, to support a range of learners in chemistry, better enabling students to experience success in the classroom.
