Colin Harte will research world music pedagogical approaches to teaching Indian music traditions as demonstrated by music educators at the Brhaddhvani- Research & Training Centre for Music of The World in Chennai, India. He will incorporate Indian musical traditions and pedagogy into the school arts curriculum. This project embraces a cosmopolitan approach towards incorporating Indian music into a variety of world music traditions and will provide him with new ways to teach and include Indian music traditions in his courses.
