Ben Olson

Ben Olsen will attend the Educator Academy in the Amazon Rainforest, hosted by the Morpho Institute. This unique professional development opportunity takes place in the Peruvian rainforest and engages teacher-learners in scientific research, cross-cultural connections and community-based conservation initiatives. His main goal is to be immersed in scientific inquiry with the aim of using this as a launching pad for student investigations and inquiry around rainforest biomes as well as native habitats in their community. As a classroom educator and as the K-12 Talented and Gifted Science Department Chair for this district, he will share what he learns with his students and colleagues.
