Through this project, ear pieces that allow for translation into one’s native language through an app will be provided to all of the high school’s English Language Learners, their teachers, counselors and school administrators. The technology will also provide a transcribed version of the lecture. Students will still be supported by their ESL teachers as they continue to learn English but through this technology will be better supported in mastering the content of their math, science, history and other classes. This will allow for students to experience greater academic success and build their self-esteem as learners.
