Andrea Abel

Andrea Abel and her fellow math educators plan to create a “Multiplying Math Success” Teacher Study Group with the objectives of increasing active engagement in math, exploring computation and application strategies aimed at improving mathematics achievement, and modernizing the curriculum to encourage more project-based learning and learning experiences connected to real-world issues and challenges. Andrea has seen a worrisome amount of learning loss in her students as well as a decline in teacher retention at her school. Through this study group, she hopes to support her students as well as her fellow educators.
