Amartya De will attend the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) National Conference. His goal for this conference is to learn how to promote social justice in mathematics at his school while also following the California Standards for the Teaching Profession. Amartya works with many students who are historically underserved and believes that the connection between math and social justice will be compelling for them.
