Stuart is Co-Managing Partner of Wealth Strategist Partners, LLC, a strategic advisor to complex family enterprises. He has published two books, Wealth: Grow It and Protect It (FT Press) and The Taxable Investor’s Manifesto (Wiley) and numerous articles on wealth management and has been a keynote speaker at Harvard Business School, Financial Times, CFA, Campden and other financial industry conferences in the US and abroad.
Stuart has a lifelong interest in education. He currently serves on the boards of the Stuart Foundation in San Francisco and the Chicago Public Education Fund. He is a former director of the University of Chicago Laboratory School. For more than 25 years he was on the board of the National Public Radio Foundation, serving in various capacities including Chair of the NPR Investment Committee. He is also an education practitioner, founding and co-leading the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Private Wealth Management executive education program, and was Adjunct Professor of Finance at ChicagoBooth.
Previously, Stuart was the Senior Managing Director of the Ultra-High Net Worth Group within Private Client Services at Bank One (now JP Morgan Chase), General Manager of European operations for Wellington Management Company, and as Assistant Portfolio Manager of a Forbes Honor Roll mutual fund.
He has a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
He and his spouse of more than 30 years have three adult children.
